Getting to Know My Classmates More...

Starting to get settled into the school schedule. ^_^ I watched a little tv this morning then before heading for English class, I went over some of the homework. Today's English class was fairly interesting, though the first part was a little boring. :P We went over our homework together so nothing is really graded or anything. Hmph, after all my work we the work wasn't really checked or anything.

The latter half of the class was spent in discussing one of the short stories we had read for homework. I like doing discussions though I can't say that everyone participated. :P The only people who comment are Maki, me, and maybe four others. The rest just stare at into space or their books with complete disinterest. :P Ah well, as long as I'm enjoying it! No school next Monday the homework is only to do two really easy 'exercises' and write the first draft of an essay about 'A Personal Experience'. I think I'm going to write about filming Newsies at the Red Brick Warehouse. I'll tell you how that goes...

Got home and had kimchee fried rice for lunch. ^_^ One of those instant Japanese packs which I love to 'cook' with so much. lol! But it was VERY good!!

Math class was quite easy today; just a recap of the Venn diagram, using it in more complicated situation. But I actually like the Venn digram so I finished doing the handbook worksheets pretty quickly. Maki also finished quickly so we stood up to leave class 40 minutes before the official end of class! Mr. Astromoff was like, "You finished already? You don't have any questions?" ^_^ Hurray, because there will be no Monday class because of Labor Day!

It's actually really nice that I can get to the chapel early. It's nice to do stretches and relax with Sharon (ballet teacher) and some other students before class starts. Sharon was giving me some tips on how to work on my turnout and was telling stories about how she started learning ballet.

Ballet class was fun, and it's especially fun since my 'partner', Candee, and I get along so well. When doing some steps which require a partner, Candee and I partner off because we're about the same height. She has kind of my personality; very energetic and makes 'sometimes' odd but funny comments. :D lol!

Since Naomi was still in her meeting when class finished, I walked home by myself. It was interesting because I took another route from what I usually take and there were soooo many cute dogs in the front yards of several houses! Of course I couldn't resist saying hello to them and petting them. Most dogs in Hawaii are mutts and mixes, but they're all very adorable! Some of the dogs living closer to our house are a bit old and mangy though... :P

Got home and started to work on my homework. English homework was SO easy; it was seriously something like I would do in 8th grade or something! It was about 'incomplete sentences' and 'fragments' and making them into complete sentences. :P Suuuuper easy. Math was a little bit more complicated, what with having to us the Venn diagram for pretty complicated problems. But I'm still finding these complicated questions challenging and fun; I hope it continues to be just that!

For dinner Naomi made chicken cream stew which was yummy! I love currys and stews, or pretty much anything you eat over rice. Aren't I quite Japanese?

While finishing up the Math homework, I finished yesterday's movie starring Michael Keaton. All in all, a forgettable movie though I still like Michael Keaton. Which reminds me; there was a poll on imdb.com about who is everyone's favorite actor with the first name of 'Michael'. First place was Michael J. Fox and second place was Michael Caine. ^_^ I voted on Michael Caine (of course).

After the movie, I finished up my ASL homework (super easy) and now I think I'm going to try to go to bed early tonight. ^_^ Sorry, no pictures. I really intended to go to school with my camera so I could take some pictures but.... :P Well, you probably guessed that I didn't actually take my camera with me so... no pictures...

I hear that school has started for the kids back in Japan. Hope you had a great day (though technically you didn't really have school.) I hope you all have at camp; make sure to take lots of pictures and video clips so you can send them to me through chat! Don't forget!!

What's Up (or Down) at Freecycle?
Check out these mostly critical comments on the Freecycle Network ... And a Technorati search reveals some hints of strife here and there in the blogosphere.
This is a great blog with much good info.
My main interest is genealogy, and I have written a genealogy book which you can find along with many articles at my site. I believe it's the only genealogy book of its kind, dealing specifically with search for noble ancestors.

Greenacres police make noise over radio problems
Greenacres cops are baffled. It's not that officers are foiled by a devious crook's clever crimes, it's that some city-issued police radios aren't working right.
Hey, great blog! Keep it up.

I have a discount digital camera site. It pretty much covers discount digital camera
related stuff.

Come and have a look if you get time :-)

I definitely agree. How annoying. Well, sounds like yet another intersting day at college for you! Gonna be a short post, but your ballet class sounds fun.

Digital memory is something that I seem to be unable to ever have enough of. It feels like megabytes and gigabytes have become a permanent part of my every day existence. Ever since I bought a Micro SD Card for my Nintendo DS flash card, I've been constantly vigilant for high memory at low prices. I feel like I'm going insane.
