A Nice, Busy (but relaxing) Saturday

Since I had a ballet class yesterday, I was a bit stiff and sore when I woke up this morning. :P Naomi and I waqtched Moonlighting while having breakfast. It was really interesting because one of the guest stars was a very young Richard Belzer from Law & Order: SVU who also guest stars a lot on Law & Order! He's a really interesting character, VERY funny (he's also a commedian.) It's so funny the interesting guest stars who pop up on Moonlighting. A few examples are Orson Welles (Third Man, Citizen Kane), Dennis Stewart (Grease), Tim Robbins (The Hudsucker Proxy), Cotter Smith (X2), Eva Marie Saint (North By Northwest), Michael Jeter (Open Range) and an assorted number of people who have guest starred on such shows like Murder, She Wrote and Remington Steele.

We began our weekly house cleaning next. Yesterday we had already decided on who does what work and so on and so forth. It's a good thing we had done that because the cleanup went so smoothfully! We all knew what we had to do and got it done very quickly. :D

After cleanup and had a lunch of spinach salad, I finished off my homework for English and ASL. The English homework was fairly easy; just had to do some reading. Then for ASL I had to watch a DVD accompanied with my ASL textbook and answer some questions. VERY easy; having learned Japanese Sign Language and also experiencing 'talking' and being around deaf people makes this class very easy.

As soon as I finished all my homework (yay, nothing more!) Maki and I watched a movie. I wanted to watch something 'epic' so I decided on Open Range since Maki had wanted to see it, too. Kevin Costner... what more can I say? :P I like how Open Range is such a tribute to the 'old' westerns; it captures the beauty of the west and portrays such strong and likable heroes (and heroine). ^_^ Not for younger kids, definitely not, but I can recommend to adults who love the old westerns.

After the movie, Maki and I practiced for tomorrow's praise and worship songs. We had a new song though the chords were simple enough for us to get fairly quickly. When we finished practiced, we fooled around a bit (well, mostly I fooled around... :P) getting out my movie songs pianobook and playing songs at randomly.

Dinner was meatloaf with tomato sauce and sauteed spinach. Oh, and also a tuna/pasta dish. Scrumptious! (I think you've heard me say 'delicious' or 'yummy' too many times. Decided to use another synonym. ^_^) Cleaned up everything then while Naomi started watching Ever After, Erin, Maki, and I went to Tower Records. I wanted to get a dvd but after looking through all the aisles, I realized that it's a lot cheaper to order from the Tower Records web site. So in the end I didn't buy anything. :P Pretty good record for me, huh? ^_^

Got home and watched the end of Ever After with Naomi then watched an episode of Moonlighting while writing this blog. ^_^ I'm very good and doing other things while watching tv/movies. It's a gift and a talent. lol!

In closing... today is Billy Boyd's birthday! Happy 37 years! Here is a very nice picture him that Maki picked out. ^_^ Trust her to find a good pic of him... Toodles!

Aww, he's so cute in that pic. (Billy) Can't believe he's 37, looks way younger. Sounds like you had a very relaxing day, except maybe for homework, but even the homework sounds pretty interesting. :P
