Greek Food, a Nap, and a Mystery of 'Five Little Pigs'

It was up at 7:30 for all of us because we were going to the 8:30 service at Kaimuki Christian Church. We all got ready in time and made it to service; from today Pastor Ron is starting his series on Christianity and other world religions. Today's sermon was on 'Pluralism' and I thought it was quite interesting. A woman came up and gave a very good testimony on her experiences of having gone to a 'New Age' church. It's amazing how these radical ideas are 'disguised' behind the title of a 'church'.

After the service, Erin, Maki, Croz, and I were playing with the drums and having a nice time just talking (Naomi had gone to talk to some other people). I was also able to have a chat with Joe, especially about how I might be able to cotninue taking some drums lessons even while I'm going to college.

Got home and started our own service at 10:30. Maki and I made up the worship teaming, playing piano and guitar again. Naomi led service today and talked about "Because He Chose Us, We Love Him", reading from Ephesians 1:4-5 and Psalm 31:23-. We finished and for a while we just relaxed in our rooms, undecided on what to do for lunch. We finally decided on eating Greek food (where Naomi and I had eaten on Friday). I love the food so I didn't mind eating for the second time in a few days. ^_^

I drove over there and was able to park the car without any icidents. :P I had the gyros chicken sandwich again while Naomi had a gyros salad, Erin had a fish sandwich, and Maki had the gyros plate. We also shared an large appetizer together which had an assortment of different dips for the pita breat and some other Greek food that I don't exactly know the names of. :P

Got home and I was completely exhausted for some reason. I just knew I needed a nap so around 2:30 I took a nap. Before I knew it, it was past 4:30! I must have been really tired... I'm so glad that I was able to take that nap before the week started up again!

I was still 'dazed' from just having woken up so I just watched an episode of L&O without really taking in everything. :P I think it was a good episode... I can't exactly remember everything. :P Naomi came in and after flipping some channels we decided to watch the last half of Two Weeks Notice. It's the only movie where I can actually stand Hugh Grant. I don't like him too much... but he's actually quite likable in this movie. ^_^ Plus Sandra Bullock is such a great comedienne, and does slapstick so well. lol!

After the movie, we all just made out own plates of leftovers and watched Five Little Pigs. I've read the book but I had forgotten a bit so it was fun to watch. Poirot (or, in reality Agatha Christie) is a genius. Magnifique! The only thing that I found strange was that some little 'things' were added in that was strange... But it wasn't too big a deal. Different director since this was made in 2003, so more recent. It had a lot of actors/actresses I had seen before. First there was Toby Stephens (the bad guy in Die Another Day). Plays an 'icky' character in Five Little Pigs. Then there was Julie Cox (I was like 'AHA!' when I found out later she had played the Childlike Empress in The Neverending Story III) and Gemma Jones (played Queen Victoria in Shanghai Knights and some other small roles). But the most interesting guest star was Aidan Gillen who played the cool, bad guy in Shanghai Knights (picture on right)! Too bad he was the victim though he certainly wasn't a 'perfect' character. :P Cool guy though, looks a bit like Alec Baldwin.

I took a nap and though I'm not too tired, I still know I need to go to bed early today. :P At least, a little bit earlier than usual. ^_^ In closing, a beautiful picture of a beautiful actress, Ingrid Bergman, who would have been celebrating her birthday if not having died in 1982. Beautiful actress, it's hard for any of the actresses of today to even come close to her 'honest' beauty. Favorite films include Spellbound (starred with Gregory Peck, two VERY beautiful people), Casablanca (DUH! Of course!!), Notorious (another wonderful Hitchcock masterpiece), and Anastasia (for which she deserved a Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Actress).
