Wasn't Feeling Too Well but Still a Fun Day

Woke up a little past 8:00 (that's when our room becomes it's brightest and there is no way to sleep in that room). :P Did some computer to check e-mails and such then watched the movie Tron with Maki (Erin and Naomi had gone out). I have been meaning to watch that movie for soooo long and I must say I completely enjoyed it! For an 1982 movie dealing about computer programs it's waaaay ahead of its time. I loved it when one part this little program comes out and it's name is bit (as in one byte) and can only answer positive (yes) or negative (no). ^_^ Very cute. Also, I couldn't belief just how young and good looking Jeff Bridges was in that movie! Very different from when he was life 50 years-old in Seabiscuit.

Naomi and Erin came to pick Maki and I around noon and we went out to eat at Todai for lunch! Maki's parents treated us lunch from afar so thank you so much for the wonderful lunch! Todai is a Japanese all-you-can-eat buffet style restaurant. One of my favorite restaurants, mmm! I love the sushi but I especially love eating crepe from the dessert corner. I actually had two! Naomi's friend Jarett was working there so he's in the group picture with us.

After lunch, we went home and Naomi went to go do some shopping. So at home we were all just 'hanging around'. :P I was reading this really good Star Wars fanfiction that kept me riveted to my computer for most of the afternoon. Unfortunately, the whole afternoon I had a splitting headache which came I think from not sleeping too well on my bed last night. I don't know, I just didn't wake up too well.

Maki, Erin, and I watched the Veggietales DVD Duke and the Great Pie War. It was VERY funny (as most anything Veggietales is) and we were all laughing so hard. The effects are much better than some of the older stuff. It was funny when Larry's three brothers came out. lol!

Tonight we went to the Friday Night Service and since Joe wasn't playing the drums tonight, he and his wife Mercy came to sit next to us. Rose and her husband, Chris, led worship today which was new for me. They also did some special music. Pastor Cal preached the sermon titled Homeland Security: Defending Your Joy.

After the service, I played with Nika, Kyla, and Malia quite a bit. I'm still 'Printella' to Malia... ^_^ They are soooo cute! It was funny because they were eating chips and pretzels and they kept trying to offer me some (after they had taken a bite from whatever they were offering). It's the thought that counts, right? *wink!) On the right is a picture that I finally got of Joe and his family altogether. Joe is having a drum class tomorrow so made me promise to show up. ^_^ I'm getting really excited about the class though maybe just a bit nervous. :P

The Friday Night 'dinner' group (tonight consisting of nine of us altogether) went first to CPK's but unfortunately it was crowded as usual. So instead we went to this Italian restaurant called Robano's. My first time to eat there and I must say I already love it! I ate Calamari Scampi which I really liked though a bit creamy and garlicy. I LOOOOVE their bread! They just kept bringing loaves and loaves of hot, just baked bread which are delicious. Don and I ate the most I think though Tiffany was close behind. ^_^

We stopped by this little 'Movie Museum' which had TONS of videos, mostly classics and old movies. I recognized so many and seriously, I could spend a whole week just perusing through the stack and stacks of videos. They have a little mini theater which you can rent out and watch movies for about 19 people so we're thinking of maybe renting the place one time to watch a movie together as a group. Lots of fun!

Well, it's getting late and I need to go to bed (my drum class is from 9:00). So for closing, I shall leave a picture Maki and I took late last night after 'going to bed'. I decided to turn my lava lamp on for fun and Maki thought it'd be a cool picture of me holding the lava lamp. So she went and got her camera and took a picture of me. I also returned the favor by taking a picture of her with the lamp (that picture is on her blog).

Glad to see your little lava lamp made it to Hawaii! And it is a very cool picture too!
