Almost a Full Week of College is Over!

This morning Maki and I had a History class from 10:45. It was actually quite an... 'interesting' class. The reason is because we had to deal with 'Pre-History', meaning the origin of man. Meaning... we had to learn about the theory of evolution, 'big bang', and 'survival of the fittest'. Mr. Cassity did mention a little about evolution but on the overall, he put down the Bible and overall, put down Christians. The girl sitting behind me was obviously a Christian because she was pretty upset and was muttering the whole time during class. :P After class I talked to her a bit though I didn't get a chance to get her name or anything.

Overall, it was a bit sad to hear all this pro-evolution stuff but I kept my mouth shut for the most part and was just glad that today's class is the only one going over pre-history. From next week we finally get into history. And there's still no homework except having to make like a name plaque to put on our desks so Mr. Cassity can tell who is who. So yay!

Oh, it's so interesting! Nichelle from my English and Ballet class is also in my History class! After class she and I were able to talk while Maki talked to Cassity about getting into the class. So it seems I'll be seeing Nichelle every day in some sort of class. ^_^

Naomi picked Maki and I up and after stopping by the post office to send some things, we went home. Maki and I had a very good lunch of all kinds of food. :P Bacon, eggs, toast, cucumber and carrot sticks, and salad.

The next class was ASL from 1:45 and when I went into the room, I saw that this girl Shannon was also in my history class! She recognized me, too so we had a chance to chat before class started. It was another very enjoyable class; Ami (our teacher) is really good at teaching and makes the whole class laught a lot! We got to get our of class early again since everyone's a fast learner and we get through the material very quickly. Got some homework, but it's all easy stuff. Just watch the ASL dvd, answer a few questions, read a few pages, and write her an e-mail about what we thought of today's class. Easy!

Because we got home early, I got to take a little break before helping out with the sign dance back in Japan. It's going well; I actually didn't have to help change much for We Go Together since they got most of it worked out before I got on video chat. I could tell some certain people were tired (:P) but on the overall, everyone was doing their best and it's nice to get that feel through the camera. It's fun seeing everyone though we don't get to really chat or anything. ^_^ Good job!

Right after the video conversation with the sign dance group in Japan, I went to the Diamond Head Theatre for my tap class. Today's class was pretty tough; during the intermediate level the teacher though up such difficult steps that she used them later on again in the advanced level! Whew! But it's so much fun to do challenging steps. (on the left is a picture of my teacher and me. It took quite a bit of convincing for me to get that picture. :P)

It's strange, after going to college then going to this tap class where everyone's is under 16, they seem soooo 'childish'. :P It's like such a huge age difference gap. Before, I was sort of still included in the group but everything's different now that I'm a college student. :P Don't take this wrong or anything, I know I'm still going to find it completely natural to hang out with all the kids of KCIS back home in Japan. No matter the age and no matter how much time passes, I know I still have 12 best friends in Japan. ^_^ Makes me think what it'll be like in ten, fifteen, twenty years from now we have like a KCIS school reunion or something. Wouldn't that be fun? Lol!

Got home after a delicious dinner (all the food I eat here is delicious!) we had our prayer meeting. Before actually starting we were slightly hyper, doing very funny things on the couch. *ahem* Anyway, our prayer meeting went very well where we all made prayer requests then one by one we prayed for one another.

After going to our rooms for a little while to do comuter and such, Naomi and I watched some Moonlighting episodes in the living room. Very funny episodes; Bruce Willis had some great lines in both episodes. One of my favorite parts was when Bruce Willis did a Curly (from the Three Stooges) imitation. 'Coitenly!' (certainly). lol! Then he starts humming in that funny way in which Curly does. Hilarious!

Now, it's definitely time for bed. :P Getting late and getting sleepy... Tomorrow Naomi and I are going to head for Costco for shopping and do some other assorted errands. Then I have my ballet class in the late afternoon.

Good night folks, I know I usually end my blogs with some quotes or pictures or something. So let's see... how about a few wallpapers for the upcoming movie Flightplan? Yes, that IS Sean Bean. ^_^
