Sort of the Last Day of Classes for the Week!

This morning Maki and I had History class and because we went a little earlier than usual, I was able to take some time walking to Olona so here are some picture of the campus (I'll post some random ones throughout this blog). One of my classmates in ballet just registered into Cassity's history class so she, Nichelle, and I were sitting close to each and were chatting a bit before class started, going over what we had learned so far. I also helped Nichelle with studying for her Japanese Conversation quiz. ^_^

Today we got our weekly assignment sheet which includes the dates for our essays, map quizzes, quizzes, midterms, and final exams. We started learning about Mesopotamian Civilization today which is more interesting than learning about Neolithic and Paleolithic people in my opinion. :P

After class, Maki and I were able to talk with Nichelle and since I had my camera with me, I asked Maki to take a picture of Nichelle and me. ^_^

We got home just a little before 1:00 because Naomi had been talking with some people and couldn't get us right after class. But was still able to relax; had a simple lunch of rice, shijimi soup, and pickles while watching Just Shoot Me, a thirty minute tv series starring David Spade (who as soon as he opens his mouth you'll recognize him as the guy who does the voice of Kuzko for The Emperor's New Groove). Such a funny show though there are good episodes and some not-so-good episodes. Today's was very funny and David Spade's character was (as always) hilarious!

Soon after the show ended, we all heade to campus for our classes. Naomi and I had ASL and we learned quite a bit. We had to learn how to sign all kinds of schools, including preschools, kindergartens, elementary schools, public schools, private schools, high schools, colleges, universities, etc. Whew! But it's still fun though at that exact time of day, most everyone feels very sleepy. :P I know, very bad but I can't help it, too! It's right after lunch, and it's so warm, and nobody talks, and you start slumping in your chair... :P Don't worry, that doesn't mean I'm inattentive or anything, I'm still learning!

After class, I went home and started working on some various homework. Also started on my learning log for ballet class where I'm supposed to write what I've learned in the past few weeks, what I learned while reading the History of Ballet, and anything else you want to discuss about ballet.

Since no one felt like cooking, (:P) we ordered Japanese food but just when Erin went to go pick it up, I remembered that I had forgotten about my tap class! AHHH!! I was supposed to go from 5:30 but it was already 6:00 so Erin drove me there. Fortunately, my teacher isn't too strict about 'time' that much (hey, it's Hawaii!). It was a fun class, my last time to come to the Thursday tap class. Erin came a little early to pick me up and watched the end of my class. Her face was so funny when we started doing this complicated step we had been practicing for the past four weeks... doing it VERY fast. ^_^ Lots of fun, I don't think I'll ever forget the routine.

Got home and since the others had already eaten dinner, I ate by myself while watching Moonlighting. Very funny episode though there wasn't much of Bruce Willis or Cybill Shephard but instead focused on the character of Agnes Dipesto. It's funny because it was like a parody of North by Northwest. The episode was even called North by North Dipesto.

After a little, we had our weekly prayer meeting. We changed the 'style' a bit, starting off with Naomi reading a chapter from Psalms and talking a little bit about it. Then we all prayed together in the end.

To prepare for my ballet report which is coming up in a few weeks, I found a good site that give a fairly complete history on the ballet performance of Don Quixote. My DVD of the version with Mikhail Baryshnikov should be arriving perhaps early next week. Hurray!

All right, I'm off to bed. Tomorrow isn't really a school day but I do have one ballet class which I'm looking forward to as always. ^_^ In honor of Keanu Reeves birthday (he's 41, can you believe it?), here are a few of my favorite quotes of his from movies like Matrix, Chain Reaction, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, and Much Ado About Nothing. (Keanu Reeves' lines are in italics)

Neo: Okey dokey... free my mind. Right, no problem, free my mind, free my mind, no problem, right...

Lily: What do you think you're doing?!
Eddie: The very best I can!

[Bill and Ted are working on their history report]
Bill: OK Ted, George Washington. One: the father of our country.
Ted: Two, born on President's Day.

Mr. Ryan: Who was Joan of Arc?
Ted: Noah's wife?

Ted: Strange things are afoot at the Circle-K.
