Zorro, the Ultimate Masked Crusader

Went to bed a little late last night (:P) so slept in until around 9:45. I had tap class from 10:15 so I quickly got ready and made it to class just as it was starting. Today's class was pretty tough; was a little hard to keep up everything! Almost done with the dance, Nancy (my teacher) said we'll probably learn the last steps next week. Only two more classes left!

Took a quick shower then the three of us (Erin, Maki and I) headed for the theaters. We stopped by McDonald's to take out some lunch. It was funny because there was this little, old local woman who kept prodding Maki forward in the line. lol! The lady was practically right at Maki's side, telling Maki to keep going forward and to hurry and order. Just soooo funny...

Got to Ward theater and got tickets to see The Legend of Zorro. It was a very entertaining movie which I enjoyed immensely. I was a little disappointed because they made it PG, as in trying to make it a kids movie (no offense to kids or anything...:P) but they put in some silly scenes that I thought were unnecessary. I also thought that though there were some aspects to the movie that made it a really good family movie, I was a surprised at the intensity of some scenes. I'm not quite sure if young children could handle some of the fight scenes, especially the deaths of many main characters. 'Up close and personal', if you know what I mean. But overall, it was a fun movie though I think the first one was a bit 'classier', but that's because The Mask of Zorro had Anthony Hopkins and cool bad guys.

The best things about Legend was 1) Antonio Banderas may be older, but he still makes one FANTASTIC Zorror, 2) Catherine Zeta-Jones maybe also be older, but she's BEAUTIFUL, 3) Antonio and Catherine are STILL as great together as they were in the first movie, 4) the fight scenes at times are better than the first movie, and 5) Tornado (Zorro's horse) is better than ever! He has even a worse attitude in the sequel than in Mask (if that was possible!) ^_^

After the movie, we went over to CompUSA because I wanted to try to get a new webcam for my computer. The one I have right now is old and a bit 'cheap' so the quality is low. Unfortunately, the one I wanted to get that my father suggested was the only one sold out! It's really popular it seems, and very top of the line for it's price.

So went back home and got to talk to Naomi a bit; she's safely in Reno now. And much to all of our agony, the internet went hayfire for about a full hour at our house! We couldn't get online or anything which was really frustrating. :( Fortunately, it finally started working again. Not that we're addicted to the internet or anything... :P lol! Got to video chat with my parents for quite a while for another crazy 'family time'. ^_^ For dinner, Erin prepared an interesting Chinese dish as well as gyoza and some yummy fresh vegetables. The rest of the evening I worked on Siddhartha, chatted with my parents some more, and surfed the web.

Oh, yes, before I go, at Ward theater they were giving out free posters for the upcoming movie Walk the Line. I'm hoping to watch it when it comes out; there's already talk that Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon will hopefully get Best Actor and Best Actress nominations for their roles in this movie. Anyway, got two differnt posters and I still can't decide which is my favorite. :P The black and white one is so 'classy' but the official poster is really well done and I like the colors. What do you think?

Off to bed now; am going to the 8:30 service at Kaimuki Church since Erin's going to be playing the sythesizer for the worship. ^_^ Then in the afternoon, we'll be going with Aunt Jean to see some sort of Japanese dance... thing. :P Will tell you all about it tomorrow. Ciao!
