Registration Day!
Today was the day I could start registering so when Maki got up at around 7:00 to get ready for her ASL, I crawled out of bed onto my computer and with bleary eyes tried to register for my classes. Unfortunately, I could only register for two classes, HIST 152 and GEOG 101!! Three other classes I wanted were filled and the Theater class's override didn't work so I e-mailed the teacher right away for the correct override. A little bummed out that I couldn't register for all the classes I wanted, I went back to bed and slept for about another hour. :P
Woke up and after doing English homework (it was easy, just reading an essay), left a bit early for campus. Was able to have fun chatting with my classmates at the picnic table before going into our classroom. Today, the rest of the students who didn't do their oral reports on Monday did their's today. Actually, a lot of people were commenting and asking questions so there was a lot of discussion which took time. It wasn't boring though or anything; it's such a different class during discussions when a certain someone isn't in class. :P Anyway, the discussions took up some time so a few people weren't able to do the oral report.
Went back home and had quick lunch so that I could study for today's math test. I also checked my mail and saw that my theater teacher gave me the correct override this time so I could get into the Acting class I wanted. Three more classes to go! :S Got to campus at around 1:35 and usually we can walk right into the classroom because the previous class finishes quickly, too. But to Maki's and my surprise, our whole class was waiting outside for the previous class to finish! A student came out and warned us that it was a really, really diffictul math test which naturally made us all want to turn around and walk away. :P
At exactly 1:45, the rest of the students were sent out and Mr. Astromoff called us in. We all immediately started taking the test and I must agree with the other students: it was a DIFFICULT test! I mean, there were some easy questions I guess but a couple were mind boggling-ly difficult! Today I spent the most time I had ever spent in the math classroom. Instead of getting out by 2:30, I was working on the test until a few minutes before 3:00 (when the class is supposed to finish)!
I handed in my paper and Mr. Astromoff perused it quickly then told me that because I do so well, he pointed out a slight mistake I had made. It was a really dumb mistake, one that I knew but I had written something else down by mistake. But he told me that he knew that I knew the asnwer so let me fix it. :P So nice. Anyway, as I was leaving I asked if I did well or not. He answered that it was one of the best he's seen so far. :P Hopefully that means that I did well...
Hurried to ballet classes so I could do some stretches and exercises before class started at 3:15. Today's class wasn't too tiring and was lots of fun as we're doing more choreographed dances instead of 'exercises'. I love choreographed dances! ^_^
Naomi picked Erin and me up from the campus and took us home. I didn't have any homework so completely relaxed at my computer. Watched a Hogan's Heroes episode with Naomi then helped cook dinner. Oyako-don is definitely one of my most favorite Japanese dishes...
Determined to finish Runaway Jury, I spent the time after dinner reading on my bed. I was able to finish and I must say it's one of the best 'modern' books I've read in a while. I knew the outcome of course from watching the movie but the impact in the book was better in my opinion. Also, it's a pretty thick book so there was so much the movie couldn't put into the script so the book is MUCH more in depth.
On a sudden whim, I suddenly decided to check up the class availabilites for the three classes that were full and I couldn't get. To my utter amazement, the HIST 282 class which was completely full and VERY hard to get into (because it's such a popular class) has ONE available seat suddenly opened up! I quickly grabbed the 'seat' and got into the class! I was so surprised that I was lucky to check up on the site just when that space was opened.
Did computer for a bit more then again, on a sudden whim, I checked the other two full classes I had wanted to get into. The Japanes 298 class I wanted which had been full just ten-fifteen minutes ago had ONE space open! Signed up for that class, one which is another very popular class. I was so incredulous and happy about getting into those two classes one right after another; luck... or not? ^_^
Was able to video chat with my parents and was so happy to see them and my dogs, too. :P Bianca is soooo cute, she was curled up on the couch most of the time but occasionally she'd twitch her ears or look in the direction of the computer camera. ~sigh~ I miss my doggies and I can't wait to see them at Christmas! Of course, looking forward to seeing EVERYONE back home in Japan. *wink!*
Off to bed now. Tomorrow's Thursday, one of my favorite days of the week. ^_^ I love History class and tomorrow I'll be having a map quiz though I think it's fairly easy. Also, for tomorrow's ASL class we're going to go eat at Chili's so that'll be lots of fun. Can you believe it, only three more weeks of school then a few days of final exams!

Wow! That's so nice that you got your classes! Ugh, you've just made me feel suddenly depressed about math...*makes face* lol, but I'm sure Mr. Astromoff wasn't lying.
