Another Weekend Gone By,,,

This morning I had it all planned out to wake up fairly early so that I could get to the church by 8:45 for Joe's drum classes. I woke up at 7:15 and I thought, "Hmm... I have a bit more time to just close my eyes for a little while longer." Before I knew it, I looked at my watch again and it was 9:17. :P I quickly got out of bed and quickly getting ready, left for the church. Joe was very understanding about my being late. lol!

I left practice a little early so that I could go next to my tap lesson. It's the last tap class for this year so I picked up Maki and she was nice enough to take pictures and video clips of the class. Today's class was lots of fun and Nancy (my teacher) let me dance the song by myself after class was over. So thank you to Maki for taking some really nice videos and pictures!

Got home and took a quick shower. Naomi and I then went over to Kahala Mall to pick up some lunch. I ordered a Fresh Roast Turkey Avocado Sandwich which was DELICIOUS! Mmmm... 'tis the season for turkey!!! Ate in the car and as soon as I got home, Ericson was already there to pick Maki and I up to go watch Walk the Line.

It was really crowded because the fourth Harry Potter movie had just come out. Thankfully, we were able to park the car, get the tickets, buy some drinks, and get to our seats just as the movie started. :P Very lucky. Anyway, the movie was really good and I enjoyed it quite a lot. It's actually a very intense drama and you'll have to be a very 'patient' and a real movie watcher to really enjoy the film I think. Johnny Cash certainly had a very rough life. I really liked how there were several Christian references in the movie like the part when Johnny Cash was trying to overcome drug addiction. Also about how Johnny Cash was first inspired through the hymns his mother would sing all the time.

A great film, I won't be surprised at all if Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon get Best Actor and Best Actress nods for this film; the acting was perfect. Not only their acting, but their singing was great, I'd really like to get the soundtrack for the movie. It was especially surprising to hear Joaquin Phoenix sing, he never really seemed like the 'singing type' to me. Especially when I've seen him as the evil emperor in Gladiator. But wow, does he look good as the 'Man in Black'. :P

Went by Old Spaghetti Factory to retrieve a 'forgotten item' then shopped a bit at Logos. I was able to get some Christmas presents so I'm happy. ^_^ Went home and Ericson dropped by for a bit; just 'talked story' for a while. Around 5:30, the Hall's picked me up so I could babysit Braden with his older sister Jessica (I had babysat them once before). Ate dinner there which was really delicious then watched the remastered DVD of Bambi. It's been SUCH a long time since I've seen that movie, it brought back lots of old memories of watching all the Disney movies. ^_^

After Braden went to bed, watched a bit of Pirates of the Caribbean before the parents came home. Connie took me home and I finally got a chance to really check my mail and catch up with all the blogs that I usually read first thing in the morning. ^_^ I'm off to bed now, earlier than usual! Yay! :P
