Wow, this week seems to have gone by so quickly! Can you believe that the semester will be completely over in two weeks? Wow... ^_^
Since I would be doing my final theater scene in class today, I went to History class wearing a skirt and my hair up in a bun. Since that is NOT my usual school attire, my friends were commenting, saying that I looked nice but 'different.' :P I got really good news during the History class; my final paper won't be due for two more weeks! Soooo happy about that! But still, I have to make sure to do as much I can for it as soon as possible. Better not to 'let it sit.'
It was off to theater class next. I hardly had time to feel nervous or anything like that because as soon as I got there, Aimee and I had to be ready to perform! Quickly got ready then did our Miracle Worker scene from the very end of the story. We first did an 'intro' where we pretended to be 'in the future' (and in character), at Helen Keller's college in Radcliffe. 'Helen' introduced herself and me (as Annie Sullivan) then told about herself. Then as a 'flashback' we performed the scene where 'Helen' finally understands with the word 'water' that everything has a name. The whole scene went so well and smoothly and we got a big round of applause at the end. Later on, after three other groups had done their scenes (including Maki's scene from The Diary of Anne Frank), I found out that many of the students, and my teacher, had been moved to tears when they saw my scene. :P Also, I got sooooo many comments that I actually really looked like Annie Sullivan! Seriously though, I must admit that my 'costume' was complete with long skirt, long sleeved high collared blouse with a large brooch at the neck, hair up in a bun, black high-heeled boots, a wide belt, and of course, small dark glasses to complete the effect. ^_^ I'm very proud of my costume I must admit.
Back to talk about Maki's scene; it went very well and I'm honored to have had a very small role playing 'Anne's' mother in the beginning of the scene. ^_^ We were able to video tape both our performances to perhaps (if we remember to bring back to Japan) we can show anyone who wants to watch. :P

T

Maki prepared dinner (everything delicious of course) and then afterwards we had our Bible study/prayer meeting. Maki led us tonight and talked about what real wisdom is all about and how we have to remember not to really on our own wisdom.
When we finished, we watched The Village; we all agreed that it really wasn't as scary as we had first thought it'd be. The story was of course very clever, considering the director is M. Night Shymalan (probably spelled that wrong...) I LOVED Bryce Dallas Howard in the main role (Ron Howard's daughter with the trademark red hair :P). She was simply marvelous and was supported by a star-studded cast: William Hurt, Joaquin Phoenix, Sigourney Weaver, Adrien Brody, and Brendan Gleeson. Of course, though the film wasn't bad or anything, it definitely wasn't as good as The Sixth Sense (NOTHING can top that movie) though this movie had it's own clever twists and turns.
Now I need to be getting to bed. Tomorrow I have to wake up REAL early to drop Naomi off somewhere (work-related). Then I'll be having my last Japanese class and last Geography Lab class! ^_^ Yayayyayayayay!
