~Saturday!!~

Hurray, I got to sleep in today! ^_^ I still have a lot of catching up to do in my sleep though. :P

Had a quick breakfast then Naomi, Maki, and I went off to do some quick errands before heading to Ward Center. First stopped by the bank then went to the post office to pick up a package. Then went to another bank where I had some things to do; then off to Ward! Took a little while to find parking but we finally found a nice spot.

First shopped at Borders since I had a 30% off coupon. I was able to use it to by The Miracle Worker dvd. ^_^ I LOVE that movie! The end always makes me cry because it's so perfect. Anne Brancroft and Patty Duke are geniuses in their roles and it's a bit daunting that Aimee and I will be doing our final theater scene from The Miracle Worker play. :P Will probably try to watch it tomorrow sometime.

Had a very quick lunch at Wolfgang Puck's (I always get their chicken tenders because it's delicious) then met up with Ericson to watch Ice Age 2: The Meltdown. Yes, I know it was my second time to see it but it's such a great movie! The only annoying thing was that in the middle of a hilarious punchline, the fire alarm went off so the screen shut down for a few minutes. When finally the movie was put back on, about 20 seconds 'skipped' and we missed out on that whole funny part! *sigh* But oh, well, at least it wasn't too bad. :P Still a great film; I also got to take home afree Ice Age 2 poster which I immediately put up on my wall when I got home. ^_^

Drove home and since I was tired but not really sleepy, I just sprawled on my bed and got to relax and finish reading my book. Very good book which I enjoyed. But now I have to start reading this book for History class. About the Islamic culture though I don't know anything else about it. I'd better get reading I guess. :P

Around 5:15, the four of us went out to eat dinner at 12th Avenue Grill to go celebrate Brandon's birthday. It was a really large group (24 people) but unfortunately, after waiting for the birthday 'couple' to arrive, someone called them to find out that Brandon and Christi wouldn't be able to make it! It seems they were really sick with flu. :S Everyone still stayed, though, and decided to celebrate Danny's birthday since his is coming up in a few weeks. :P Still had lots of fun, being able to fellowship with a lot of friends. It was such a big group so it was separated into two large table (fairly small restaurant).

I ordered the Grilled Pork Chops and to my surprise, the portions were huge! I almost had a hard time eating everything (almost... lol!). Doesn't it look good? It was. ^_^ Everyone else's food looked great, too, from fried calamari, steak, duck raviolo, and more! Mmmmmm....

Afterwards there was some talk of going to see a movie but since there's really nothing good showing ('cept for Ice Age 2 and though I like it, I don't know about paying to see it twice...) went home.

Decided to watch a movie on my own at home. ^_^ Watched 10 Things I Hate About You, a modern spin on Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. Starring Heath Ledger and Julia Styles, I actually enjoyed it. There was actually character development, good acting, and a plot! I know I would have absolutely LOVED it except for it being rated PG-13 for good reason. No bad scenes, hardly any bad words, but it being a 'teen' flick, there was of course the innuendos. *sigh* Otherwise, good movie with a soundtrack I really liked. ^_^

I'm going to have to be up early in the morning tomorrow because I'm playing drums at the 8:30 service at Kaimuki Church. Nothing planned for the afternoon then I have a babysitting job in the afternoon. It's been such a short weekend... :P

That's a bit mean that they cut out that whole scene from Ice Age. Should have gone back or something. Anyway, YES, the food looks good...
