Loooooooong Day... But Hurray for Weekends!

Today was really a 'up-and-down' day with so much going on. :P Woke up earlier than usual so Naomi could drop me off at my 9:00 Japanese class. I was on campus 40 minutes early so I was to read quite a bit from the Madeleine L'Engle book I'm reading; though I wasn't quite awake, the book was really interested and kept me awake. lol!

Today's Japanese class was pretty straightforward; in the beginning we each wrote a little bit about the presentation we did for International Cafe. Then working as groups, we wrote about different Japanese cultural 'concepts', for example 'giri' (obligation, duty), 'ganbari' (to do your best), 'kenkyo' (humility), and etc. My groups worked on 'giri' and it seems that for each of our final papers we're going to write about 'our' topics. Sounds like it's going to be interesting. :P I'm just glad it's not 6 pages long... ^_^

Class finished early and because I wasn't feeling well (I've had a cold since around Wednesday), Erin was kind enough to pick me up. My computer has been acting weird so during my 'lunch break' until my next class, my time was spent backing up my files and trying to clean up and organize my folders. Made myself a nice lunch of fried rice.

Walked to my Geography class; because I was still feeling sick, I was very 'out of it' but fortunately, the Lab work wasn't hard at all and we finished fairly quickly. Don't know if I did well though... lol!

Maki and I walked home and I did some more backing up of my files. Read a little bit then I went to Kaimuki church at 6:00 for a sound check. Practiced a bit then got to chat with a few people. The Friday night service worship went SOOO well. Half of what we did was completely 'unplanned' yet everything flowed and went smoothly. It was truly the Spirit working in the worship tonight. As always, though I may not have been feeling well and was very tired, playing the drums in worship really 'rejuvinated' me and I felt soooo good! ^_^ Pastor Ron is still away so tonight Pastor Cal preached. He gave a very interesting testimony about how God works in our personal lives and how we should 'look forward' to such times.

For dinner, Naomi, Maki, Ericson, and I went to eat at Big gCity Diner. It's been a while since we've got to see Ericson so we had lots to catch up on. Got home and finished watching Gone With the Wind with Erin. The last quarter of the movie is pretty sad and depressing though since I knew what was going to happen, I was prepared. The same couldn't be said for Erin and Maki though. :P But it IS a classic and a very well made movie, as well as having some fine acting.

Yay! I'm so excited that I can actually get to SLEEP IN TOMORROW!! Boggles the mind, doesn't it? lol!

Ah, read it again. :D Yeah...Gone With The Wind has a really desolate ending. :P That's so nice that your worship went well. :)
