Back for Now!
Well, I was back online again, back offline line again in the past three days. :P Currenly as I am 'offline' (my comput refusing to cooperate with me), Naomi and Maki both have been kind enough letting me use their computers to do homework and check mail and such. So here's a quick update on all that's been happening
Saturday:
Got to sleep in which was sooo nice and did a little computer in the morning. After lunch, Naomi, Maki, and I went to the theaters to see The Sentinel. Really good movie starring the great Michael Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland. If you think about, it's kind of funny that they are the sons of two of my other favorite actors, Kirk Douglas and Donald Sutherland. lol! I just thought that the fact was very 'interesting'... Anyway, liked the movie a lot and thought the acting, story, and action was pretty well-done. The end was a bit 'off' compared with the rest of the movie but I can't complain since the rest of the movie was good.
Shopped at Times supermarket before heading home then Naomi made lasagna for dinner (yum-yum!). Watched a movie then it was straight to bed since my computer wasn't working. :S
Sunday:
Had our Sunday service in the morning with Erin talking about Living in Jesus Christ. We also had Communion since last week was Easter and we didn't have. For lunch we picked up Panda Express and ate at home. *sigh* I just love the food from Panda Express...
Naomi helped me fix my computer after that and so while I was installing various software (messenger, i-tunes, media player, webster dictionary, office xp, etc.), I watched King Kong. ^_^ Such a great movie though the whole hour of the movie taking place on Skull Island is waaaay too creepy. :P But as I've said it before and I'll say it again, this movie is certainly a cinematic masterpiece, even if it's just for the last scene on the Empire State Building.
Did a little reading (started a new John Grisham novel that I've had in the closet for a looong time but never got around to reading it) then had leftovers for dinner. Did some more reading and I'm halfway through my book, The Testament (as in a legal testament). Interesting story, though there's not much 'mystery' so far so I'm still curious to see how things will hopefully pick up.
And for today, Monday:
Woke up in the morning and was very sad to see that my computer was once again not working. Naomi dropped me off a little early to class so I got to read my book while waiting for class to start. Had a quiz in the beginning of history class and then we learned more about British imperialism.
Went home and used Naomi's computer to start on my History's final paper's first draft. Which is due tomorrow. :P I knew I could finish today though, no worries. Except for the fact that I was unable to use my own computer and had to rely on using others' computers. Thanks so much for the use of your computers, Naomi and Maki!
Had lunch, did some more writing then Naomi and I went to Ala Moana to do some shopping. Was sooo tired by the time we got home. :P Did more writing then for dinner, to celebrate Erin getting her OPT visa (which allows her to stay one year in the US to work), we went out to eat at Formaggio, a little restaurant close by. The food was really good and the dessert of Pear Zinfendell. Mmmm... MmmMMmMM!!! ^_^
Got home and finished on the most part my six page draft. Watched Good Night and Good Luck which I was a bit disappointed in. It wasn't as 'controversial' as it's been made out to be but instead I found it dull and not dramatic or 'exciting' in any way at all. I like the acting of course by David Straithairn and George Clooney. I still think I prefer All the President's Men to this movie.
Off to bed now but perhaps I'll read a little more before I do that. I can't believe that I'm already almost done with the book which I only started reading yesterday! :P
