Tomorrow Will Begin "The Return to Normalcy"

Sunday is such a good day! ^_^ Had a nice breakfast of muffins then we had our Sunday service, led by Erin. Then we listened to the sermon tape sent from Japan; it was my father's sermon on "The Seed of Faith." It also contained Melania's and Suzie's farewell speeches to the church. It's always amazing how God opens a way for exchange students going to Yokohama University to be able to come to our church! The sermon was really good (as always) and related to our building are church here in Hawaii. An encouraging word for all of us.

After the service, we went over to Ward Center and had lunch at The Chowder House. I had the fried calamari caesar salad which was so big I couldn't finish it! The amount is pretty good and especially since I always have their clam chowder (it's The Chowder House, of course I need to get their chowder!), I get full before the main entree comes. :P Stopped by Logos bookstore and I was able to get a gift for someone-who-shall-remain-unnamed. lol

Went home and I read the paper I needed to read for my Modern American History class. 40 pages... seriously boring. :P I mean, it was a very 'political' message about how the media works today. And how 'free speech' is not really 'free speech.' Or whatever that means... anyways, very dull stuff. :P Read a bit from my new book Troubling a Star then did some writing.

At around 6:00, the three of us left for Hale Koa Hotel's restaurant called Bibas. Met up with Aunt Jean and Reed there and we all had a very nice, DELICIOUS dinner together. ^_^ I got the Steak and Crab dish where the steak was a bit on the small side, there was a LOT of crab which was sooo good!

(Since my mother keeps saying I need to put more pictures of us on my blog, here are plenty of pictures). :P

We also shared three desserts together: a fruit tart, a flaky, French apple pie, and a Melting Chocolate Cake. The best thing was that with the Chocolate Cake came coconut sorbet which was just too, too YUMMY! I don't really like coconut 'meat' itself, like straight from the coconut, but I love coconut flakes, milk, and the overall flavor. ^_^

So with today ends Spring Break and it's back into school mode. Ick. :P Oh, well, I guess I'm happy to be getting back into finishing up the semester. I'm just not looking forward to my Geography class' second midterm this week and having to prepare for the upcmoing project. I'm very much NOT the science type of person. Give me the performing arts, history, and English ANY time.

Also, Naomi'll be arriving back here tomorrow morning! So I drop Erin and Maki off at school for their early morning class then I'm going to drive all by myself to go pick her up. ^_^ Wow, it's pretty strange that I'm actually driving around to 'the great unknown'! lol! It's great but a little scary at the same time. :P Well, good-bye to Spring Break; it's been great!
