Has Been a Crazy, Crazy Week :P

I am SOOO looking forward to this Easter weekend! It's been really crazy this past week so I'm excited for this weekend where I'm hoping to be all 'refreshed' and ready to continue on in all that I have to do. ^_^

Learned about China's 're-emergence' into the world right when the British began expanding their trade what with the Industrial Revolution. Also learned all about the Opium Wars which was VERY fascinating for me. I've heard about the wars but to learn all the details was really interesting. Am looking forward to next week's lecture about Japan's emergence into the world.

Helped Nichelle study Japanese in the cafeteria until around 11:45 when we stopped by Mr. Cassity's office. Nichelle had to pick up something but a quick stop turned into a good fifteen minutes of conversation. :P Talked about all kinds of things and I was able to get some advice from him about the upcoming fall semester.

Went home and after a quick lunch, I went back to campus around 1:00 to meet with 'Pohaku' Stone, the teacher for the internet Hawaiian Studies course I'll be taking during the summer. He was a really nice guy and I liked him quite a bit. He told me what to expect from the course and also what books I might want to go ahead and buy.

That was a really quick meeting so I went right home. Worked a bit on trying to figure out my fall schedule. So far, it's looking pretty good though it might turn out that I will have 4 classes on Monday/Wednesday and 2 on Tuesday/Thursday. I'd really like to make it work so I have 3 every day to make it all even out... but I'll just have to see how that goes.

Watched The Miracle Worker to help with the character analysis I had to write for the character of Annie Sullivan who I'm playing for my Theater class' final. Great to watch again since it's a fantastic movie. It really helped to watch the movie; writing the character analysis went really smoothly though it was pretty time consuming. Finished just before dinner. Erin made tonkatsu which was sooo good. :P Naturally, I was pretty full by the end of dinner.

Tonight's American Idol was the eliminations and though I was once more worried that Elliot would go, instead it was another guy who left the show this week. Oh, well; next week is Rod Stewart week!

After that, had a nice video chat with my mother and I guess since I haven't gotten homesick in a while, tonight I got a real bad case of homesickness. :P Of course, Mommy was able to cheer me up (hugs and kisses to Mommy!). Did a little bit of 'pseudo-relaxed' reading for History class; Nine Parts of Desire: The Hidden World of Islamic Women. At first I wasn't too interested but already I'm finding the book very interesting and informative about life on the 'other side of the world.' Happy that it's a fairly easy read, most of all. lol!

Going to bed and hoping for a good night's rest. ^_^ G'night and sleep tight!
