~Good Friday~

Yay! I got to sleep in today! :P Ok, perhaps not as exciting as some people may think but it was really nice being able to sleep without having to worry about waking up 'on time' for something.

Aaaanyway, did some cleanup in the morning and concentrated on reading the novel for History class. It's really interesting but I have to really concentrate because it deals with many political issues as well as cultural and religious issues. It's just... 'convenient' how Mohammed has these 'revelations' to fix any problems which seem to arise in his personal life. :P

Around 2:00, all four of us went to Kahala Mall to do some shopping for Easter decorations and also a birthday present for Ericson. ^_^ Yes, it was Ericson's birthday on the 12th and we had made plans tonight to have a 'surprise' birthday party for him. So we got him the King Kong dvd as well as this really cute balloon (funny story coming up about that balloon... :P).

For lucnh (it was already around 3:00 by this time), we ate at Kimuraya's Bakery which has REALLY good Japanese food. ^_^ I had the beef stew which was really good, plus I love the complimentary bread they serve.

Went home and chatted with some people then the four of us practiced special music for the upcoming Easter service this Sunday. It went really well and we had lots of fun; especially had fun trying to figure out the cool drum tempos on our synthesizer and how to work it all out. ^_^ So I'm going to 'kind of' be the drummer, though I'm just pressing buttons on beat. lol!

Maki and I then also worked on our sign dance we're going to do on Sunday, too. We're going to need a lot of practice though it's coming together. Trying to keep it simple and 'elegant.' :P

Took a very short nap then around 8:15 we went to church to meet up with some friends to go Islands restaurant for Ericson's birthday. Of course, he still didn't know we were going for his birthday. lol! So off we went...

But first I have to tell you the story of the balloon! Well, Erin was waiting in the car while Naomi, Maki, and I went into the church to meet with some people. She was going to write some messages on the balloon. At one point the balloon was in the trunk then she decided to get something. When she opened the trunk, the winds were so strong that it blew the balloon away! She chased it all through the parking lot, across a pretty big road, but could go no further when the balloon went down onto the highway. :P Naturally, she didn't go down and get it; later on we were all laughing hysterically as we were wondering if that smiley faced balloon could have caused some highway accidents. lol!

Anyway, met at Islands and the people who came were Christi, Brandon, Don, Debbie, Byron, Bao, and of course Ericson and the four of us (Tina came a little later on). When we all sat down, we finally sang Happy Birthday and completely surprised Ericson about this being actually his birthday party. ^_^ Besides the King Kong dvd, we also gave him a card which had a huge sticker reading "It's my birthday, and I'm very smart, intelligent, good-looking!" :P Of course we made him wear the sticker... lol!

Great dinner/party all around; there was a lot of laughter and hilarious conversations throughout, two or three conversations taking place at once sometimes. ^_^ At the end we were all doing silly 'finger/hand tricks' which had us end of laughing sooo hard! Especially when Tina was getting slightly 'tangled up.' :D

Stayed at the restaurant fairly late so we finally left around 11:30. :P Now we're back home and I need to go to bed... Tomorrow (well actually, today) is going to be a big day. I'm going to a film audition... ^_^ Very exciting and I hope it goes well. G'night! And Happy Birthday to Ericson!!
