~Sunday~

Naomi led today's Sunday service and talked about 'Your Calling to Serve the Church', talking about our not only having to prepare to 'build' a church but to also ask for our part in the church and to seek our calling. A very encouraging word for all of us as we seek God's will for our church here in Hawaii.

After the service, relaxed in our rooms a bit then we left for Koko Marina and ate at our favorite Greek restaurant. Their gyros are soooo good and I usually always get their gyros sandwich. Yum! Afterwards we went over to Costco which is really close by. There were so many nice DVDs but I was very good and only got Flightplan. ^_^ Was almost tempted to buy The Village but decided to just rent it sometime.

Went home then Erin and I went over to Waikiki beach for about an hour. So nice to get out and sun bathe a bit. The sun was sooo hot and in contrast the water was sooo cold. :P Now I have a nicer tan since I was pretty 'white' compared to a lot of people living in Hawaii. lol!

After we got home, Maki and Erin went to some sort of Chinese concert which Maki needs to go to write a report on it for Music class. I stayed home and watched Stealth which I had borrowed. All I can say is that I completely understand why the critics were so harsh on it. :P The plot was so silly that it was actually kind of funny and the characters were very 'stale' and 'flat'. Jamie Foxx dies halfway through the movie, and there was absolutely no chemistry between Josh Lucas and Jessica Biel. *rolls eyes* Basically, it gets down to a very badly written script. :P Even Josh Lucas' good looks could not save this movie... lol! Almost, but not quite.

Erin and Maki came back a little after 6:00 then the four of us went to Christi and Brandon's hourse for dinner. Tina and Yoko were there as well as Mercy, Nika, and Kyla (Joe's in Los Angeles for work). We all had a grand time together; Brandon made dinner which was a type of spaghetti with the most delicious sauce I've eaten in a while! The cheesebread he made was also incredibly delicious...

Watched The Incredibles while eating and even watched Jack Jack Attack which was Erin's and Maki's first time to see! :P Soooo hilarious! Then after the movie and Merci and the kids had left (they live right upstairs), we just talked while Brandon played with his lasso, trying to lasso everyone (unsuccesfully). lol!

Now, back home and am just finishing up my blog. Tomorrow I have history class in the morning then hopefully I'm going to be able to 'observe' Nichelle's Japanese class for a project I have to do for my own Japanese class. ^_^ Should be interesting... Good night, sleep tight!
