"It's Like Putting Gasoline on a Flame"

Just wanted to say the Galaxy Quest quote since Maria and I had been talking about how just like The Emperor's New Groove, Galaxy Quest is one of those VERY quotable movies... ^_^ Aaaaanyway...

The next door neighbor's dog is soooo annoying in the morning especially... he keeps barking in this 'hoarse, gruff' voice... and ON TEMPO for LONG periods of time! GAH! I almost felt like pulling my hair out but since it's the landownders dog, I really can't yell at him or anything... grrr...

Ok, frustration venting over with. ^_^

Naomi and I had a few things to do at the bank so we got those little 'chores' done before she dropped me off at the campus. History class was interesting, especially since we're going into Japanese history. ^_^ So much fun, learning about Shogun and Daimyos and such.

Afte the class, instead of going home, I went with Nichelle to her Japanese 101 class. For my own Japanese homework I needed to 'observe' a Japanese class and decided to get that over and done with as soon as possible. :P It was actually a fun class to observe; so funny because the Japanese teacher looks exactly like Pastor Masa Kato of the Makuhari church! Same mustache, glasses, and everything! He was an excellent teacher though and I could see the students actually enjoying the class.

Met up with Naomi and Maki then together went home. Had a nice lunch and watched an episode of Love That Bob which was HILARIOUS; especially the scene where they make fun of old silent films with Bob Cummings pretending to be an exaggerated version of a Rudolph Valentino character. lol!

Finished reading The 47 Ronin Story after that; it was a pretty good book which I enjoyed though it's sad that all 47 of the ronin died. Or, I guess it's not supposed to be sad per se because they got to honorable commit seppuku. *shudder* Just the thought is awful...

Next I began work on my History class's take-home chapter quiz. I have to completely read two chapters from my text book to be able to do the thirty multiple-choice questions. Really tricky questions, took a couple of hours just to do that. :P Also started on the short essay question though haven't finished it yet.

Relaxed a bit after studying then since today is Monday, it was my turn to make dinner. I steamed potatoes and made German potatoes which turned out VERY yummy (thanks to Mommy for the idea)! Very nice dinner indeed.

Did some internet surfing then watched Truly, Madly, Deeply which I just got today in the mail (VERY cheap on towerrecords.com since I got an additional 15% off of it since I'm such a loyal customer). lol! Starring Alan Rickman and Juliet Stevenson, it was a very interesting drama. I must say though that the acting was impeccable and I had no complaints. Juliet Stevenson was great and some scenes she made me want to cry with her and all I can say is that this proves even more the versatility of Alan Rickman. Here's yet another film where he plays a completely different character of what I've seen him. Plus, it's the first time for me to hear him sing. ^_^ Not a movie I can watch over and over and over again though since it has a sad ending... but I know I'll be watching my favorite parts again. The two main characters are have some really 'cute' scenes; favorite being where he's singing and she's dancing, both of them being very silly indeed. lol!

After the movie, played a bit of Destruct-o-Match which I LOOOOVE; helps to 'numb the brain'. lol! You know... like Taipei or Bejewled! *wink!*

In closing, here's a picture of me and Nika that Naomi took for me yesterday. Turned out so well but I forgot to put it up on yesterday's blog. Isn't Nika so cute! Off to bed now; tomorrow I'll probably be on campus all day for my classes in the morning, then lunch, then International Cafe, one more class, then finally I get to go home at 4:30. ^_^ G'night!
