Quiet, Relaxing Day

Felt so nice to be able to sleep in today. ^_^ Woke up a little after 9:00 and did absolutely nothing worth mentioning all morning. lol! Was on my computer mostly reading fanfiction and doing some writing.

Had a nice relaxing lunch while flipping tv channels. Then focused on reading The 47 Ronin Story since I'll be having a paper due on it in a few weeks. Already...! Time goes by so quickly... read about 2/3 now which is good; it's a fairly easy read but some of the plotline is getting tedious... :P

Later in the afternoon Maki and I watched The Island. I had heard so much about it and how critics had hated it; however, I thought it was really, really good! A bit of Minority Report and Sixth Day in it and the action sequences were pretty fantastic. Scarlet Johansson was 'so-so' but the rest of the cast was great; especially Ewan McGregor, Steve Buscemi, and of course, Sean Bean who played an excellent bad guy. :P

Naomi made dinner which was ground beef (Japanese-flavoring) over rice and mixed vegetables. Very Japanese dinner which was nice. ^_^

Today (or actually tomorrow in Japan) was my mother's birthday so we got to have a nice, fun video chat. ^_^ I'm so excited and happy that she liked the presents Naomi and I sent her which was a matching top and jacket. ^_^ Very 'Mommy-ish' with lots of sparkly beads on it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Off to bed now, good night!

That's such a great, 'classy' looking picture of Sean Bean. :D Glad the movie wasn't as bad as the critics made out to be...well, they make everything seem bad, don't they?

(that is, anything with a complicated plot)
