"Golden" Day
First off, today was a holiday and I didn't take one step out of the house. :P Not that I was lazy today, not at all!! Ok, maybe a little bit. lol!
Slept in a little then got to work on my Theater homework. I had to read one chapter from the book then I had to choose one little 'scene'. I made a 'score' of that scene (something like a script but only describes action instead of lines) which was actually very interesting and lots of fun.
For lunch I had leftovers then watched Relative Values with Maki and Erin. Such a fun movie which I hadn't seen in such a long time! Colin Firth is simply a riot as the nephew to Julie Andres and gets so much good lines ("Here's looking at YOU kid..."). I think I might want to try to read the play; now that's one play I'd like to act in, perhaps as the American actress who overdoes everything. lol!
Got to video chat with my parents; my mother had been nice enough to look over my Japanese paper and helped me out on my grammar and such. Thank you so much! I feel better after having her read it over and telling me that I didn't do too bad. :P
The rest of the afternoon was spent starting on my other Japanese paper which is due this Friday and finishing up my History paper due tomorrow. :S Both won't be graded, but there's still that pressure to do well...
Today was Monday so it was my turn to make dinner... and I made a delicious mushroom and spinach pizza! Ok, ok, I didn't really make the pizza, but I did heat it up! And it was baked to perfection!
Then from 7:00 till 10:00, we watched the 63rd Golden Globe Award Ceremony. ^_^ I was actually the only one to sit through the whole thing since the others left towards the end. I must say, I enjoyed it quite a bit though I think I would have enjoyed it more if there hadn't been any commercials! In that sense, I prefer the Academy Award show anyway since it's more 'glitzier'... but still, the Golden Glob Show was fun.
Sooo many stars, I don't know where to begin! Matthew McCounaughy, Colin Firth, Don Johnson, Harrison Ford, Anthony Hopkins, Matthew Broderick, Penelope Cruz, Anne Hatheway, Chris Rock, Emmy Rossum, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Beckinsale, Clint Eastwood, Johnny Depp, Joaquin Phoenix, John Travolta, Reese Witherspoon, Emma Thompson, Keira Knightely... AHHHH the list goes on and on and on!! Four of my 'wishes' came true with Walk the Line winning Best Actress (Reese Witherspoon), Best Actor (Joaquin Phoenix), and Best Picture and (AHHHH!) Hugh Laurie getting Best Actor for in a Television Series. He TOTALLY deserved it and he gave the funniest acceptance speech of ALL the award recipients. I was completely cracking up from the beginning of his speech to the end. What's funny is that his accent is very much a mix of both British and American accents. :P
Took a quick shower and now it's a little after 10:30. *sigh* Tomorrow it's back to school again. :P I have History, Theater, and Geography and I'm actually looking forward to all three classes so that's not too bad. G'night y'all!
