SUCH a GREAT Day! Can't Wait For Another Beach BBQ!

Today was just SUCH a fun day! But first I have to go chronologically so I shall beging with the morning. :P I got to sleep in today... ok, I know I 'sleep in' a lot but for the first time I slept completely through till 9:00 when usually I'm woken up from 6:00 on and off for a while. (btw, picture on the left is from last night at Dixie Grill; ignore Christi and Brandon's 'fish-faced' looks... lol!)

Went off for my tap class at the Diamond Head Theatre. The parking lot was closed for some reason so I had to park at the campus (real close by). Saw some of my classmates so that was interesting to say hi to them on a weekend. :P

Tap class was fun; each week we're adding more into the dance so every week it's more challenging for me. :D I really like the song we're using and we're at the 'drum' solo part where *if* everyone makes all the tap sounds clear, it would be really cool...)

Came home and after lunch watched the last two episodes of House, M.D. SUCH a good show, I am completely stunned as to why Hugh Laurie didn't deserve the Emmy award for best actor for this show! He was remarkable, now I'm excited to be watching season 2 now which is showing every week now. ^_^

Oh, yes, the reason why today was such a perfect day... today was the church 'young people' BBQ at the beach! We went from two o'clock and the first thing we did was start setting up things. One of the most interesting things to watch was some of the guys trying to figure out how to put up the volleyball net... LOTS of fun. :P (90 degree angles!!)

Most of the afternoon we played volleyball which was just so much fun since it's been a while since I've actually played a sport. It took a lot of getting used to the hard volleyball though (my arms are sore.... :P)

Later in the afternoon, we played a couple of games. First we did 'Crack the Whip' though in the end we only played it once. :P Then we played 'My Captain, My Captain' which I would love to teach the kids back home in Japan. It's a really fun game involving a lot of mindless running. lol! Not really, but it does involve a lot of running. It was loads of fun and amazingly enough, I always wound up being one of the last people caught. :D

(Oh, yes, the picture on the right is Ardell and Matt doing handstands while Maki watches in amusement...)

Dinner was a delicious affair with hamburgers, hot dogs, carrots and other vegetable dips, and lots of chips! Dessert was also really good; Tina brought a delicious chocolate pie. Mmm!! Somehow, the talk went to 'massages' and before I knew it, I was cracking some people's backs and showing how to do hand massages! lol! That was interesting... Oh yes, the entertainment was provided by Matt who just had to climb the tree we were eating under. ^_^ I really like that picture of him posing, the lighting was really good and the leaves came out real clear (ok, I know, I like taking good pictures :P) That's a nice picture of Naomi and Tina, too, though the light is a bit 'bright' in Naomi's face. But a nice 'friendly' picture of two good friends. ^_^

Played a lot more volleyball later on then it was almost 7:00 when we started putting everything away to go home since it was getting dark. We couldn't see the lines for the volleyball 'court'. :P There was a really funny incident at the cars when Ericson lost his car keys... lol! Thankfully, it was during everyone loading up his car so everything was 'open' and eventually he found it in the trunk... somehow... (sorry Ericson! I just had to tell about that incident, it was just so funny at the time! :P)

Matt, Ardell, and Yuriy dropped Yoko, Naomi and I to our individual homes (Erin and Maki had left early in the afternoon to meet with Aunt Jean and her friends to go to some sort of concert. They got back and said that they had a really good time which was nice!) Anyway, arrived home around 7:30, and Naomi and I watched a movie together. It was really nice because we had a video chat with our parents afterwards and got to talk a lot of (and laugh a lot. :P) We're such a crazy, fun family. lol! Bianca and Sophie also 'posed' for us into the camera which is always cute.

In closing, today was just a really good day for me. It's nice being with friends and just being outside. :P I've been indoors quite a bit recently and haven't done so much running around and 'competitive' sports in a while. Old and New faces are always nice to be around. ^_^ Good night, I'm definitely sleeping well tonight! (I have a very nice tan and I have sore muscles everywhere... :P good pain. lol!)

Especially like how the picture of the guy in the tree - the tree branch makes him look like he has two right arms! Did you notice?
