~I'm Just a 'Drummer' in a Rock 'n' Roll Band~
Well, it's a *bit* late right now so I'm going to keep this pretty short (if possible). :P This morning I had a House-a-thon, watching a few more episodes. Only a few more left! I also did some more writing my Lord of the Rings fanfiction. Perhaps if I work on it over the weekend a bit more, I could publish the next chapter (though I'm doubting it at this point)
Had lunch while watching Runaway Jury which I had borrowed from Blockbusters yesterday. It was a pretty good movie though the ending was somewhat predictable. But what a fantastic cast! John Cusack, Gene Hackman, Rachel Weisz, Dustin Hoffman and a whole bunch of other pretty well-known Hollywood actors. The first half of the movie was more exciting than the last half in my opinion since the ending wasn't as gripping as I had hoped it to be. In a way, I think that The Rainmaker is a better movie (same author, John Grisham).
Ballet class was next and because it's Friday (and most people just don't feel like coming... :P), the class was smaller so at the end, Sharon asked what we'd like to do. We all voted on doing some more jumps and turns which we did. At the end Sharon was impressed and said maybe we can start on more complicated turns in the future! Exciting!
Tonight there was Friday Night Service and because I was playing the drums, Naomi and I went over to the church by 6:00 for a 'sound check'. Basically we went over the songs and some of the intros to make sure we all got it. ^_^ Got to see a lot of familiar faces and talk with everyone which is always fun.
The music went very well and I think I played very well! It was LOTS of fun to play on the worship team since I've missed playing drums back in Japan for church. I think I've become the new 'symbol' as I am one of the very few women who play an instrument for the music team at Kaimuki Church. And not just any instrument, but the drums!! lol!
Afterwards, a group of us went to Dixie Grill for dinner. Tina, Naomi and I shared a whole rack of ribs... YUM! I really like their ribs, I don't think I can order anything else from their menu now. Especially since you can choose from six different sauce flavors...
I had some pictures from the Dixie Grill but I'll put them up tomorrow. Goodnight, getting very late!
