A Nice Day to Begin the Week
Naomi had to go dance hula for the 8:30 service so we didn't start our own service until she got back just a little after 9:00. Naomi led service and preached about 'The House of Chloe' and how it relates to our church right now.
Went to the 10:30 service next where I played the drums on the worship team. As always, it was really fun to play drums; can't get enough of it! Listened to Pastor Jay's again which was fun even the second time around. ^_^
For lunch we went home and Naomi made fried rice and some soup. Very yummy, we all ate quite a lot (no leftovers except just a little soup). :P The rest of the afternoon was spent in complete relaxation. I finished reading The Great Train Robbery and did some writing as well as playing some games.
A little before 6:00, Erin, Maki and I went to the church to watch Left Behind III with the church people. The seats were almost all full but luckily we got some nice seats so Ericson got to sit with us, too. The movie was 'ok'; unfortunately, though the acting was really good, I thought the quality of the filmmaking was pretty low. The music was almost 'tv-movie' quality, the cinematography/editing was choppy, and some of the 'situations' was completely over-the-top. Kirk Cameron and Lou Gossett Jr. were the best actors in the whole lot as well as Kirk Cameron's real life wife, Chelsea Noble. In the three movies, the first one is definitely still the best.
After the movie, we had hot dogs in the lanai thanks to some of the church people who helped prepare a light dinner. There was also some really good deserts and snacks. Yum!
Got home fairly early and spent most of the time chatting with Maria. It's funny, though we talk almost every day, we ALWAYS have lots to talk about and catch up on. :P Also, I'm finally having some success in the newest LOTR chapter of mine; gotten over a 'tough' spot.
Off to bed soon now. Tomorrow starts the 10th week of school. 10th week already! Hurray!
