The Great Beginning of a New Week
Naomi led our morning service this morning, preaching about "Daughters and Bridemaids of God". It was a really good word and I enjoyed it, though I may have looked like I wasn't paying attention because it was early in the morning. :P
Before going to the 10:30 service, I was able to write a few e-mails and do some things that needed to be done. Today's sermon was on about the Islamic religion. It was really interesting and I learned quite a bit. Dave and Pastor Ron had their little skit in the beginning which was fun and entertaining. ^_^ Then towards the end, Pastor Ron had a member of the church give his testimony about having been brought up as Muslim. It's always interesting to hear from the point of view of people who actually experienced the religion of Muslims.
When the service was over, we were talking with our friends then we decided to go out to lunch together. So it was we four girls, Christi, Brandon, Dave, and Yoko who went out to eat at Big City Diner. I had a kimchee fried rice dish which was pretty good though next time I'll probably stick with their burgers which are DELICIOUS!! It was funny because during most of the lunch, Brandon and Dave were VERY much into a football game which was showing on all the tv screens at the diner. Nothing would get their attention away from the game which had us girls teasing them quite a bit. :P
Got home, and after doing some craftwork, took a looooooooong nap. :P By the time I woke up, it was almost 5:00. I watched a couple episodes of Moonlighting. There was this hilarious scene where Bruce Willis it fighting against the bad guy, and they both pick up a mop and broom each, the handles painted red and blue. Then while they're fighting with the mop and broom, the Star Wars theme song suddenly starts playing! :P Ok, that may not sound funny but watching it was hilarious...
Naomi made fried rice and while having dinner we watched... Sahara! Yup, I know Rie is going green with envy right now. :P It was fun watching again and I loved the deleted scenes. There was one deleted scene where Steve Zahn was completely inmprovising a whole thing. VERY funny. Then there was a short video/clip tour of Stever Zahn's trailer which was pretty funny, too.
After the movie, I worked on some of my reports then chatted with Maria for quite a long while. :P And now... I've caught up with the present! Will probably do some more work on my essays, work on my hobby, then go to bed. Tomorrow starts another week of school, wish me luck!
