The Weekend is Upon Us!

Woke up a little earlier than usual today so that I could walk to my 9:00 Japanese class. Was a very interesting class; we divided into groups and had to decide what kind of 'booth' we want to have during the International Week which will be at the end of March. My group, consisting of Maki (another Maki), Yubiko, Misato, and myself, is going to have a booth about samurai, or more specifically The 47 Ronin Story. Yes, I know, my idea. ^_^ We haven't worked out all the details yet but it sounds like it's something fun to do. Plus, I don't have to do any research because I already know all about the story from History class!

Class finished thirty minutes with no homework due next week, earning our teaching a resounding applause from the students. lol! I had lunch at the cafeteria with a classmate named Junko. ^_^ Had a really nice time, talking about school and such.

Today another group from Seitoku University came to a hosted event by Kapiolani Community College. The exact same thing like Tuesday though I could stay for only the first hour. But I still get points so I'm really happy about that.

For Geography Lab class we learned about using GPS. Got to even use little GPS 'gadgets' to find waypoints which our teacher had programmed into them. So got to walk around part of the campus, finding 'coordinates' (our teacher had 'hidden' large pieces of paper with clues to complete questions on our lab papers). It was funny because during this time, the Seitoku University treasure hunt was going on! And some of my friends of International Cafe hadn't realized that I had left for class. So to them it seemed that I, too, was doing the Seitoku treasure hunt since I was walking around with a paper and pencil and a small group. lol! It was funny because at one point, I was asking my teacher for some help. A friend of mine came up to us and asked if we had found some item for the treasure hunt! It didn't help, too, that my teacher is fairly young and looks like a student. :P So my teacher was like, "Excuse, do I know you?" because he wasn't from our class! LOL! Very funny...

Finished the lab early and got to go home early. Got started a bit on my Geography assignment due for next week (decided to write a geographic profile on Queenstown, New Zealand). ^_^ Didn't do much though; my mind was feeling pretty 'blank' today since I was so tired. So I basically was a couch potatoe in front of the tv for quite a while.

Naomi had gone to the Friday night service to babysit in the nursery while Maki and I stayed home. After the service she picked us up though and we went to eat at Chili's with some of the church people. Very fun fellowship; Yoko brought her two Japanese friends, one whose name was Naomi! lol!

Now I'm home, ready to sleep and SLEEP IN tomorrow morning. ^_^ Till tomorrow!
