New Zealand is Calling To Me...
I was able to sleep in until just past 10:30... SUCH a nice feeling being able to sleep in like that! ^_^ Was lazy in the morning just checking mail and doing random 'surfing' on the net. Watched Bye Bye Birdie while eating lunch. I'm sorry to say, but that was a pretty awful 60's movie. :P Just really, really.... tacky is the word I'm looking for. I mean, I like 'corny' and 'old-fashioned' movies I guess since I love most all kinds of movies. I especially love musicals and such! But I don't know, Bye Bye Birdie was kind of annoying to watch... The best thing about the movie I can say is definitely the fact that it had two incredible actors starring in it: the great Dick Van Dyke and the equally great Paul Lynde (for those who don't know who he is, he's the guy who did the voice of Templeton the Rat in the animated Charlotte's Web). They're simply fantastic and Paul Lynde has the most 'interesting' voice you'll ever hear. I love the song he sings called Kids. Simply hilarious! He really has such an expressive voice.
Started gathering information I'll need to have to write up my Geographic report which is due next week. I've decided to write about Queenstown, New Zealand; the thing is, the more I research, the more I really, REALLY want to go there! lol! This assignment is fun in a different way from my other assignements, especially the fact that I get to put pictures in and stuff. ^_^ Plus I get to pick a topic and place to research that I like instead of being 'assigned'.
Naomi made a delicious shrimp curry for dinner which we all ate with gusto. Then afterwards, Naomi and I watched The Island together. Second time to watch it and the second viewing made it even better for me! I think one of my favorite lines from the movie is: "Just because they want to eat the hamburger doesn't mean they want to meet the cow." The droll way which the character McCord says it is sooo funny! The effects are really incredible; even when I've seen it all before, I can't help but says 'whoah' or 'wow' at certain points. Simply incredible; I'm really surprised that it didn't become a box office hit. Critics... *rolls eyes*
I'm so happy right now because I was able to video chat with my parents and dogs. ^_^ Certainly made my day! Am missing them so much and miss the laughter we share whenever we 'get together'. We're such a fun family... lol!
Tomorrow's Sunday, the beginning of a new week! Always excited about the start of a new week. ^_^ I'll 'see you' tomorrow!
