I have officially done all I have to do to prepare for the upcoming fall semester! I'm so happy (and mostly relieved) that everything has worked out so well and smoothly for me. But first, what happened today in order of events. ^_^

Took a looong time to actually get out of bed though it was fairly late in the mornings (a little after 9:00). For breakfast made a delicious smoothie from strawberries and blueberries from Jenny (thanks so much Jenny!). Drove over to Ala Moana next for Naomi's and my haircut appointment. Naomi got her hair cut by Monique (who Naomi always gets to cut her hair) and I got my haircut done by Gail. We got to talk quite a bit and I learned she was from Las Vegas though she had lived most of her life in Hawaii. She just recently moved back just two weeks ago. She has two maltese so we were able to talk about dogs. ^_^ Naomi says her hair style hasn't changed much but I'm putting a picture of her up anyway. My hairstyle isn't too much different compared to before but it feels so much lighter (it looks a lot straighter but it's only because I had my hair blow-dryed).

After stopping by Starbucks (I got a Mocha Coconut frappuccino), went home and ate leftovers for lunch. Watched an episode of (you guessed it) Monk. Then left for campus to attend an orientation session. Got to the school auditorium just in time (1:00). I received a Schedule of Classes of booklet, nice to have even though I've really already made up my own schedule for this fall. We had several speakers talk about starting out college and what all the benefits are of doing so. I especially liked listening to Keith speek. He teaches Speech so I'm really thinking of taking one of his classes in the spring. I was able to chat with him afterwards and he says he's looking forward to seeing me.

An interesting experience was during the session they had us introduce ourselves to the person sitting next to you. Practice for meeting new people in classes. The guy next to me was named Keith (not the same with who teaches Speech class) who is a transfer student from Kansas. He's taking Liberal Arts for one semester then is hoping to transfer again to South Korea. I actually didn't have as much a hard time in talking to strangers as I thought I would. ^_^

The session ended then depending on what majors we were taking, everyone was split up into groups. My Liberal Arts group went over to the Iliahi building and a counsellor talked to us about the Liberal Arts program. She was really helpful and gave a lot of tips about how to make sure you do all your recquired courses. Her explanations about the Writing Intensive courses were also really easy to understand.

Went for a quick meeting with Kristie who is my Liberal Arts counsellor. She's such a fun person to talk to and has been so helpful throughout my whole process of getting ready for college. Through her suggestion I'm going to try to take a Japanese course for fluent speakers which will count for four language classes I would need to get a Bachelor's. So happy to learn about this course so that I won't have to take so many language classes!

Stopped by the library to try to get a student ID but unfortunately, the ID machine was down. Will probably go again later this week.

Went over to Costco next to pick up a few groceries and get a belated Mother's Day gift for my mother: Remington Steele Season One! She simply loves the series, most of all because Pierce Brosnan is in it. And who can honestly disagree that Pierce Brosnan is utterly charming, devastatingly handsome, has a great sense of wit and humor, and did I mention the accent? *wink!* Well, those are my reasons for liking Pierce Brosnan... Strange, at Costco I didn't pick up any other DVDs for myself. Strange, isn't it? :P I'm practicing self-control, that's what it is.

It was nearing 5:30 by then and Naomi and I were getting very hungry. Rushed back home and made chicken sandwiches for dinner. It was an excellent dinner, especially since we got to finish up Monk Season Three. There was this one episode, Mr. Monk and the Election where Randy pretends to be this macho bodyguard type which made Naomi and I laugh so hard. And in Mr. Monk and the Kid, (the season finale), Tony Shalhoub played Monk to excellence. It was a really touching episode and it really showcases how Monk is trying to get over his compulsive behavior.

Talked to both my parents through audio chat. For some reason the webcam wasn't working at all later on so I downloaded a Logitech software for it to hopefully work better. Haven't tested it yet, probably will do that tomorrow.

Oh, yes, my fanfiction writing update. For the past two weeks I've been getting almost constant e-mails from my Boromir, Thou Shall Live fans who are urgently (almost 'threatening') to get the show on the road and update the story. So I'm going to re-read my story so that I can start writing again! Wish me luck! Also, fanfiction has finally made a category for The Interpreter fanfiction! I'm so happy, my story A Reason to Come Back is the first story in the category! I do so want to watch the movie again; too bad I'll have to wait till October for the DVD to be released.

Tomorrow I get to sleep in late, yay! I'll probably do some dancing then Naomi and I are hoping to catch a matinee showing of Fantastic Four. Good night!

Nice haircut! ;) Your orientation thingy sounds intersesting. Wow, if it was me there having to talk with someone next to me, I'd probably be mumbling incoherently. :P

Nice to know you finished Monk 3. Hope you enjoy Fantastic Four tomorrow, if you watch! Oh yes...and write your update! :D And soon! hehe.

Looking forward to your next post...

I like your new haircut. It makes you look chic and slim - that doesn't mean that in reality you are not slim :p I guess it is because there seems to be less 'volume.' Anyway, you look very nice and ready for college. And Naomi as usual, looks simply feminine and gorgeous.
With love in Jesus.

Hiya! Wow...you seem to be busy already, and you haven't started your studies yet! :) I guess that's none of my business...

You know, I was considering being anonymous, but I thought it'd be better to let you know who I am. Nah, just kidding.

Good luck, and have a good time!
